Baby Dresser- Side Step Card

Hey Everyone,
It's been a long time since I have posted or written anything.
Last few weeks just flew by.
My in-laws were over from Canada for a few days. Had a really nice time with them as we have not seen them for more than a year and a half in person. Then it was my older daughter's birthday. She turned 15!... gosh I feel old. But any way here I am...
I made this card for a friend who had a baby boy. This was also my first time trying to make side step card. Making this card was a lot of fun and learned a lot of new stuff.

What I really enjoyed making were the teeny tiny clothes. It reminded me of my girls when they were babies.

Baby Dresser- Side Step Card

Here I used few different types of card stocks, double sided foam dots for 3d element, and my cricut maker of course....

Hope you enjoy my cards as much as I enjoy making them.

Dragonflies

Hi Everyone,
I am here today with another shadow box. The image is from design space. I thought it was perfect for spring. I think I've told you all how much I love spring.
Though this image was perfect...but I felt it needed more colours, so this is my take on it.

Also as you see I have made both of these a bit different. On the top image you see the black outline of the dragonflies is different from the dragonflies in the image below, It's because I was experimenting to see if permanent vinyl will stick to glitter card stock and how will it look. I think it looks pretty nice and also stuck very well.
On both the projects I used 65lb solid core card stock and glitter card stock from Recollections and Cricut, printed card stock for the background and various size foam pop dots as spacers.

Hope you enjoy this shadow box as much as I enjoyed...

Parchment/ Vellum Embossed Card

Hi Everyone,
Today I wanted to share a card that I had made many years ago... way before I got my first Cricut or even knew a machine like Cricut existed. I made this card when I was living in India. While going through some of my cook books the other day I found this card tucked in. It brings back lots of memories, who knew making cards would become so much easier...

Anyway the flower and leaves were done on parchment paper and coloured using oil pastels. You draw on the back of the parchment paper using white ink and then emboss it using a ball point embossing tool.  As you start embossing, you will see that the parchment paper starts turns white. Once you have finished embossing you colour and blend it using blending medium. You colour on the back too. Once finished turn over and see the magic.... It can then be mounted on card stock.

Hope you enjoy my cards as much I enjoy making them!!

Spring Easel Card-3

Hi everyone, I am here again today with another Spring themed easel card. This card is again made using my Cricut maker. Can you believe that I had to cut more than 50 mats to get all the details (56 to be precise), crazy right...
I know you can use something called snap mat on your iPhone/iPad cricut app but but I do not have iPhone/iPad. Also I find I am more comfortable using a laptop or a desktop while designing.

Spring Easel Card

Here I used 65lb card stock of various colours, foam pop dots of various sizes, glue, foam board strips (for the frame) and Cricut maker for cutting. All the images are from design space.

Spring Owl Box Card

Hi Everyone, hope you all are doing well.
I am here again with another Spring themed box card. I thoroughly enjoy making cards with little intricate details, so that every time you look at the card you find something new.
It folds flat for easy mailing. This is again made using my Cricut maker. The butterflies were cut using a punching machine set I have had... I don't know maybe for 8 to 10 years I guess.

Box Card

At the back of the card I for the golden border I used Foil transfer kit for maker and drew with purple glitter pen using the drawing option. You don't have to use either of them if you don't have any.

Hope You enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

P.s: Check Free File Folder for the link for this card. If you are design space member, it will cut for free.

Easel Spring Card-2

 Hi everyone,

How have you all been doing? It's been long since I have posted or written anything. I have been crazy busy and a bit lazy here with covid vaccinations and my daughters schools.....

So anyway here I am. I have been still experimenting with my easel cards.

This is another one I created. I am super happy the way it came out. But the sad part is, I realised my file for this project is now corrupted after the latest update of Cricut design space. So I will not be able to share this project until I remake the whole thing over again.

Easel Card

This is how it looks when you open and make it stand. It folds flat for easy mailing. All the images here were from design space, cut using my Cricut maker. The birds and the grasshopper were print and cut.

Below you can see the cut pieces and the assembly. This is just to give you the basic idea of what and how I did.

Spring Easel Card

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are doing well.
I sure had a very busy weekend and a very busy week so far. So I have been trying something new... I saw these easel cards sometime ago on the internet, I really wanted to try them out.
Then while browsing the internet for ideas I came across Kittie Caracciolo's website (Kittie Kraft) and loved her cards.
Though I loved her cards I wanted to create something different. The lights in my brain clicked on and here we are.

A perfect card for spring, mothers day or just because...

This is my take on easel card. I am very happy the way it came out. I think it's a perfect card for spring or for Mothers day.

All the images are cut out of card stock.
For the frame I used foam board cut into 1/4 inch wide long strips.
I used pop dots of different sizes to give the 3d effect.

Hope you do enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it !!!
P.s: Comments and feedback will really be appreciated....

Thank You Card

One summer I decided I wanted to learn something new and more useful. Our community centre was offering free knitting classes!! Yay, very excited....bought new knitting needles, wool... attended 4 class session, very proud of myself. The session finished, the needles disappeared, the wool disappeared and I am back to point "A" with my cricut and my card-stocks.
Anyway this was a Thankyou card for my knitting teacher.

Here I used 65lb brown cardstock, pink polkadot embossed cardstock and my cricut maker.

Hope you all enjoyed seeing my creations..

Owl Shadow box

This is a 10 layered svg owl file. I loved the way it came out. Here I used Bazzill cardstock of two different shades of brown, pop dots of different sizes, my cricut maker with premium fine point blade. The size of the shadow box was 12x12inch.

I made this in two different colours. For the white one I used recollections plain white cardstock and cricut glitter cardstock. Also for the white owl I used 13x13inch frame.
This svg file again was bought on Etsy from FabricutVectorFiles, as I have still not mastered making my own svg file. Maybe some day- keeping my fingers crossed!!

Most of these shadow boxes I create go to Wild Wings, which is a not-for-profit organisation. Here they take care of wild birds (including birds of prey) which were injured at some point and would not survive in the wild on their own.
