Animal Bookmarks

 Hi everyone,

I know it's these are not Christmas themed...

I made these bookmarks for my daughter as a gift for her teachers. She loves animals and reading, so the animals of her choice. I think they came out pretty cute. I also made a holder to go with them, also so that she could write a little massage to each of her teachers.

Here I used 65lb black card stock 2 pieces stuck together to make it sturdy. You could use a single heavy card stock, I did not use as I didn't have any. For the coloured part I used vinyl as it is easy to cut and stick. 

I used light grip transfer tape to stick the vinyl to the card-stock.

Tip: Before sticking the tape to the vinyl, press it to your pants or shirt to make it less sticky.

Felt Cookies Set with Box

Hi Everyone, 

Who does not love cookies.... A perfect gift for little kids.                               

I used my Cricut Maker and  rotary blade to cut the shapes but you can cut it free hand too. They are all hand stitched. 

Materials I used here for the cookies are felt of different colours, embroidery thread of coordinating colour, seed beads, filler/stuffing and heat transfer vinyl. Glitter card stock, plain card stock and acetate for the box.

Bookmarks

 Hi everyone, 

I made these bookmarks at my daughter's request sometime ago. She asked me if I could make some bookmarks for her teachers for tomorrow morning... Last minute bookmarks. Could have been better but quite happy the way they turned out.

Mini Envelope Card

Hi Everyone, 

Here is a simple, easy and cute card to make. 

All the pieces were cut using cricut maker. The golden writing is done using cricut foil tool. Pretty sure you can make this card without using cricut machine but any way I am sharing the project link if you want to make it.

Birthday Banner 2

Hi Everyone, 

Hope you all are doing well..

Here is another birthday banner that I had made. It's simple, colourful and yet easy to make. Here I have used core coloured card-stock, glitter card-stock, glue & double side tape to stick. It is cut using my Cricut maker.

Rainbow Cake topper

 Hi All, 

A lot has happened since I last posted anything online, that was a year ago......... Gosh time flies. 

I have moved to India with my family, at least for now. We now live in this small city called Bhubaneswar in the state of Odisha. It's been about 7 to 8 months since we moved here. We moved around the last week of June 2022. 

 Even though I am from India, I had never been to this part of India. Let's just say its a big change from where we were living to where we are now. Kids have gotten very well adjusted to their school and they seem to be doing pretty well. Some days we love it here some days we don't. 

Haven't really started to craft much yet... maybe will start soon, but in the last few months I have attempted to make few things. I will try to post more frequently once I get my momentum back....

Until then, here is a cake topper I made for my daughter's birthday cake. It's pretty simple but colourful. My daughter loved it... 

I really like the way it turned out, with the shaker elements to it. Here I used glitter card stock, coloured card stock, acetate for the window, small sequins of different shapes (for the shaker) and wooden bamboo skewers to prop it up.

Owl Pillow Box

Hi Everyone, 

It's been a long time since I have posted anything. Been super busy. Sometimes I wish there was 48hrs. in a day instead of 24hrs.. That's just me I guess.

Did I mention that one of my daughter is playing hockey? She is been playing for the last 4yrs. She is playing for the 8U team. Last three years we went to lots of tournaments and games, never really thought much about it (how/who organises it, how much work goes into it and so on...), until this year I became her team manager. Boy a lot of effort and time sure goes into it. I now have a new appreciation for the team managers for sure. 

Ok, enough of talking. I am pretty sure you all not here to hear me chatter away. I have been crafting in my spare time, trying new things.

As we all know valentines day is near I decided to make little owl pillow boxes for candies for my younger daughter's class and hockey team. I think they came out super cute.

Here I used card-stocks of different weight/ colours and acetate for the window. Stuck them using double sided foam tape/dots to give dimensions. They are pretty easy to make.

Mothers Day Card- Swing Fold

Hi Everyone,

I know mothers day is long gone and  most of us crafters are already preparing for fall and christmas but... here's a card I made sometime ago for my mother in-law for mothers day. She loves to stitch so I thought it was perfect card for her...

She actually taught me how to make these beautiful smocked dresses, which I really enjoyed making. I don't make them as much any more. It takes a lot of time to make and my daughters are all growing up and they hardly wear dresses anymore.  

Anyway I feel this card can be made for any one who loves stitching and not for just Mothers day.  

Here I used Core coloured cardstocks, permanent vinyl from Cricut and foam pop dots for dimensions. All the little stickers were cut out of the vinyl.

Birthday Banner

Hi All,
I know its been a long time since I posted anything.
So here is a birthday banner I made sometime ago. I made this for my daughter's butterfly themed birthday party.

It is simple, easy and fast to make. I used glitter card stock from Cricut for the banner and core coloured card stock for the butterflies. 
I wish I had taken a better picture:( So anyway here it is...

Shadow Boxes- Part 2

Hi All,
So here are few more of the shadow boxes I made for my daughter. She is writing little individual notes on a card to go with them. 

They were cut using my Cricut Maker. The shadow boxes are all 8x8 inches. Here I used 65-80 lb core coloured cardstock from recollections and cricut. In some I used cricut glitter cardstock and glitter permanent vinyl. To stick them I used foam pop dots, spray glue and Aleenens original tacky glue. 

Hope you all did enjoy these shadow boxes!!
